Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Ponce, Puerto Rico, you'll engage pet parents and pets, deliver positive experiences, and uphold our vision. Share store maintenance, pet safety, and direct pet care while working flexibly evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Essential Physical Demands
Stand, walk, climb ladders, lift 50 lbs frequently (team lift 100+ lbs), handle animals in moderate noise/wet environments with pet hair. Depth perception required; accommodations available.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction in-person, phone, register, and online pickups.
- Care for store pets: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, etc.), administer vet-directed meds.
- Maintain cleanliness, face/fill products, stage merchandise, support pricing/promos.
- Sell products/services/pets, promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Ensure safety, respond to sick pets, assist store-wide, follow policies.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—bring passion for pets! Need strong communication, schedule flexibility, composure under pressure, physical stamina for lifting/handling, and teamwork in fast-paced pet retail.
