Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in our Prince George store, you'll deliver outstanding customer experiences, care for live pets, and maintain a clean, safe environment. This entry-level role is perfect for animal lovers who thrive in dynamic retail settings, working evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional pet parent service in-person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
- Care for store pets: feed, water, clean habitats (fish, birds, reptiles, small animals), and administer vet-directed medications.
- Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and promote merchandise, services, and events like adoptions.
- Maintain store cleanliness and safety standards; respond immediately to sick/injured pets.
- Support all store areas including services as needed.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators who stay composed under pressure, handle physical demands (lifting 50+ lbs, standing, climbing), and embrace flexibility. Comfort with live animals, moderate noise, and wet/hairy environments essential.
