Role Overview

As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Quakertown, PA, you'll engage pet parents, care for store pets, and maintain a welcoming store environment. This entry-level role offers flexibility, hands-on pet interaction, and the chance to build retail skills while upholding PetSmart's vision of exceptional pet experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online.
• Provide direct care for store-owned pets: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), and administer vet-directed medications.
• Maintain store cleanliness, execute price changes, stock shelves, and recover merchandise to standards.
• Recommend products, services, live pets, and promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
• Ensure safety for associates, pets, and customers; respond immediately to sick/injured pets including vet transport.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required—pet passion is key! Must have strong communication, schedule flexibility (evenings, weekends, holidays), and composure under pressure. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing/walking, climbing ladders, and exposure to pets, noise, and wet environments. Reasonable accommodations available.
