Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Raleigh, NC, you'll engage pet parents, care for store pets, and maintain a welcoming store. This entry-level role offers flexibility, pet interaction, and paths to advancement while upholding PetSmart's vision.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online.
- Care for store-owned pets: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), administer vet-directed meds.
- Handle online order pickups, recommend products/services/pets, promote events like adoptions.
- Maintain cleanliness, stock shelves, execute price changes, ensure safety for pets, associates, customers.
- Assist across store areas, react to pet health issues, follow all policies.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required. Ideal candidates have strong communication, flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays, composure under pressure, and physical stamina (lift 50lbs, climb ladders, handle animals). Passion for pets is key.
