Role Overview
Our Part-Time Retail Sales Associates (Pet Associates) deliver exceptional pet parent experiences while maintaining store standards and providing direct pet care. Located in Richfield, Minnesota, this entry-level role offers flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays, perfect for animal lovers seeking impactful work.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction through greetings, question-answering, online order prep, and seamless checkouts.
- Handle pet healthcare: feed, water, clean habitats for birds, reptiles, small animals, fish, and crickets; administer vet-directed meds.
- Ensure store excellence: face/fill products, recover sales floor, execute price changes, and maintain cleanliness/safety.
- Sell merchandise, services, live pets; promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Respond to pet health issues, transport to vet if needed, and assist across store areas including services.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required – just bring strong communication, composure under pressure, and pet passion! Must stand/walk extensively, lift 50+ lbs (team lift 100+), climb ladders, and work in pet-filled environments with moderate noise and occasional wet/hairy conditions.
