Role Overview
Our part-time Pet Associates drive the pet parent experience in our Richmond VA store. You'll engage customers care for live pets maintain a clean safe store and support sales/services. Perfect for animal lovers seeking flexible hours and career growth in pet retail.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding service in-person online phone and at register
- Care for store pets: feed water clean habitats administer vet-directed meds
- Stock shelves face products handle price changes and online pickups
- Promote events recommend products ensure pet/associate safety
- Assist across store areas including services as needed
Physical Demands
Stand/walk extensively lift 50lbs+ (team lift 100lbs+) handle animals climb ladders work in moderate noise/wet/pet hair environments.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required but pet passion helps. Need strong communication flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays composure under pressure and physical stamina. Depth perception and animal handling comfort essential.
