Role Overview

As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Richmond, British Columbia, you'll engage pet parents, care for store pets, and maintain an exceptional store environment. This entry-level role offers hands-on pet interaction, customer service, and merchandising in a fun, pet-loving atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
• Provide direct care for store-owned pets: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, small animals, fish), and administer vet-directed medications.
• Maintain store cleanliness, face/fill products, stage new merchandise, and support price changes/promotions.
• Recommend products, services, live pets, and promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
• Ensure safety for associates, pets, and customers; respond to sick/injured pets and assist across store areas.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required—pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators with schedule flexibility (evenings, weekends, holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and handle live animals in a dynamic environment with moderate noise and pet hair.
