Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate), you'll deliver outstanding pet parent experiences, care for live pets, and keep our store spotless. This entry-level role offers flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays while making a real impact daily.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction in-person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
- Provide hands-on care for store pets: feeding, habitat cleaning, medications.
- Stock shelves, face products, handle price changes, and promote events/adoptions.
- Maintain safety standards and respond immediately to pet health issues.
- Support all store areas, ensuring cleanliness and visual merchandising excellence.
Physical Demands
Stand/walk extensively, lift 50 lbs (team lift 100+ lbs), climb ladders, handle animals in moderate-noise, pet-hair-filled environments.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! Need strong communication, composure under pressure, schedule flexibility, and physical stamina for dynamic retail setting with live animals.
