Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate in Roseville, CA, you'll engage pet parents and their pets, deliver outstanding customer experiences, maintain store standards, and provide direct pet care. This entry-level role offers flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays in a dynamic pet retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction through in-person, phone, register, and online interactions.
- Care for store-owned pets: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), and administer vet-directed medications.
- Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and prepare online orders.
- Promote events like adoptions, Treats enrollment, and charity drives; recommend products and services.
- Maintain cleanliness, ensure safety, and respond to sick/injured pets by transporting to vet if needed.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! Must have strong communication, flexibility for varied shifts, composure under pressure, and physical stamina to lift 50 lbs (team lift 100+ lbs), climb ladders, and work in pet-filled environments with moderate noise and occasional wet/hairy conditions. Vision for depth perception essential.
