Role Overview

As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Round Rock, Texas, you'll engage pet parents, care for store pets, and maintain a welcoming store environment. This entry-level role offers flexible hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays, with physical demands including lifting up to 50 lbs and handling live animals in a dynamic pet retail setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online; greet customers and prepare pick-up orders.
• Provide direct care for store-owned pets: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, small animals, fish), and administer vet-directed medications.
• Ensure store cleanliness, safety, and standards; handle sick/injured pets and transport to vet as needed.
• Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and recommend merchandise, services, and live pets.
• Promote events like adoption weekends and Treats enrollment; assist across store areas including services.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required, but pet lovers thrive here. Must have strong communication, flexibility for varied shifts, composure under pressure, and physical stamina for standing, lifting, climbing, and animal exposure. Specific vision (depth perception) and ability to work in moderate noise/wet environments with pet hair.
