Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate), you'll engage pet parents, care for store pets, and maintain a clean, safe environment. This entry-level role offers flexible hours, evenings/weekends/holidays, and hands-on pet interaction in a dynamic retail setting.
Essential Physical Demands
Stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs (team lift 100+ lbs), climb ladders, handle animals. Exposed to pet hair, noise, and wet areas. Reasonable accommodations available.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online pickups.
- Care for birds, reptiles, small animals, fish: feed, clean habitats, administer vet-directed meds.
- Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and promote events/adoptions.
- Ensure store safety, cleanliness, and immediate action for sick/injured pets.
- Recommend merchandise, services, and live pets to drive sales.
