Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate), you'll engage pet parents, care for store pets, and maintain a clean, safe environment. This entry-level role offers flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays while making a daily impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online.
- Feed, water, clean habitats, and administer medications for birds, reptiles, small animals, fish, and crickets.
- Stock shelves, face products, handle price changes, and promote merchandise/services/live pets.
- Ensure store cleanliness, pet safety, and immediate action for sick/injured pets.
- Promote events like adoption weekends and Treats enrollment; assist across store areas.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required. We seek strong communicators who thrive under pressure, love pets, and can lift 50+ lbs. Physical demands include standing, walking, climbing, stooping, and exposure to animals, pet hair, and moderate noise.
