Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in San Juan, Puerto Rico, you'll engage pet parents and their pets, deliver exceptional service, maintain store standards, and provide direct pet care. This entry-level role offers flexibility and impact in a fun, pet-filled environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction in-person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
- Care for store pets: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), administer vet-directed meds.
- Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and maintain cleanliness.
- Sell merchandise, services, live pets, and promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Ensure safety for associates, pets, and customers; handle sick pets and transport to vet as needed.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! Need strong communication, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), composure under pressure. Physically demanding: lift 50+ lbs, stand/walk extensively, handle animals in moderate-noise, pet-hair environment. Ladder use, depth perception required.
