Role Overview
Our Part-Time Retail Sales Associates are the heart of the store, delivering outstanding pet parent experiences while caring for live pets and maintaining a welcoming retail space in San Juan Capistrano, CA. This entry-level role offers flexibility and meaningful impact daily.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction through greetings, consultations, online order fulfillment, and register support.
- Provide hands-on care for store pets: feeding, cleaning habitats, administering meds, and emergency vet transport.
- Execute merchandising tasks like stocking, facing products, price changes, and sales floor recovery.
- Promote events, recommend merchandise/services, and uphold safety/cleanliness standards.
- Collaborate across departments to foster a culture of belonging.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required – pet enthusiasts welcome! Must have excellent communication, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina (lifting 50lbs+, standing, ladder use). Thrive in dynamic settings with animals, noise, and pet hair.
