Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate), you'll engage pet parents, care for store pets, and maintain a welcoming store environment. This entry-level role offers flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays while making a daily impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online.
- Provide direct care for store pets: feeding, cleaning habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), and administering vet-directed medications.
- Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Maintain cleanliness, ensure safety for associates, pets, and customers; handle sick pets promptly.
- Recommend products, services, and live pets while supporting all store areas.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! Must have strong communication, flexibility in scheduling, composure under pressure, and physical stamina to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in a pet-filled environment with moderate noise and occasional wet conditions.
