Role Overview

As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in our Saskatoon, SK store, you'll deliver outstanding pet parent experiences, care for live animals, and maintain a clean, safe environment. This entry-level role suits animal lovers ready to engage customers, handle pets, and support store operations in a dynamic retail setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive pet parent satisfaction through in-person, phone, register, and online interactions.
• Provide hands-on care for store pets: feeding, watering, cleaning habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), and vet-directed medications.
• Execute merchandising tasks: stock products, face shelves, recover floors, manage price changes, and prepare online orders.
• Promote sales, services, events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
• Ensure safety for associates, pets, and customers; respond immediately to sick/injured pets.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required—pet passion is key! You need strong communication, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in pet-filled environments. Comfort handling animals and moderate noise levels essential.
