Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate in Scarborough Maine you'll be the friendly face of PetSmart engaging pet parents and caring for store pets. This entry-level role offers flexible hours perfect for students or those seeking supplemental income while delivering outstanding customer service pet care and store operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional pet parent experiences in-person online phone and at register
- Care for store-owned pets feeding watering cleaning habitats and administering vet-directed meds
- Maintain store cleanliness recover merchandise execute price changes and stock sales floor
- Recommend sell products services and live pets while promoting events like adoptions
- Ensure safety transporting sick pets to vet as needed and upholding standards
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required but pet enthusiasts thrive here. Must have strong communication flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays and ability to lift 50lbs+ while standing/walking extensively. Comfort with live animals moderate noise pet hair and wet environments essential. Specific vision for depth perception and composure under pressure required.
