Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Seabrook, New Hampshire, you'll engage pet parents, care for live animals, and maintain an exceptional store environment. This entry-level role offers flexible scheduling and the chance to work with birds, reptiles, fish, and small animals while driving sales and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding pet parent experiences in-person, online, and at pickup.
- Provide direct care for store pets: feeding, cleaning habitats, medicating as directed.
- Stock shelves, face products, handle price changes, and promote events like adoptions.
- Maintain cleanliness, ensure safety, and respond to pet health issues immediately.
- Recommend products, services, and live pets to boost sales and satisfaction.
Physical Demands
Stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs (team lift 100+ lbs), climb ladders, and work in pet-filled environments with moderate noise and occasional wet conditions.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators with schedule flexibility (evenings, weekends, holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina for retail tasks. Specific vision for depth perception and animal handling experience a plus.
