Role Overview
Our Part-Time Retail Sales Associates are the heart of the store, delivering exceptional pet parent experiences, caring for live animals, and maintaining a clean, safe environment. Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction through greetings, question-answering, online order prep, and seamless checkouts.
- Provide hands-on care for store pets: feed, water, clean habitats (fish, birds, reptiles, small animals), and administer vet-directed meds.
- Execute merchandising tasks like stocking, facing products, price changes, and sales floor recovery.
- Promote products, services, live pets, and events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Ensure safety for associates, pets, and customers; respond to pet health issues and maintain cleanliness standards.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required – just a passion for pets! We seek strong communicators who thrive in fast-paced settings, handle physical demands (lifting 50+ lbs, standing, climbing), and stay composed under pressure. Exposure to animals, moderate noise, and wet environments is part of the fun.
