Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Shelby, North Carolina, you'll engage pet parents, care for store pets, and maintain an exceptional store environment. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online; greet customers and prepare pick-up orders.
- Provide direct pet care: feed, water, clean habitats for birds, reptiles, small animals, fish; administer vet-directed medications.
- Merchandise store: face/fill products, stage new items, support price changes and promotions.
- Promote events like adoptions, Treats enrollment; recommend products, services, and pets.
- Ensure safety: maintain cleanliness, handle sick/injured pets, create safe spaces for associates, pets, and customers.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required. We seek strong communicators with schedule flexibility, composure under pressure, and physical stamina (lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, handle animals in moderate noise/wet environments). Passion for pets is key.
