Role Overview

As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Sherwood Park, Alberta, you'll engage pet parents and pets, uphold company values, maintain store standards, and provide direct pet care. This entry-level role offers flexibility, pet interaction, and career development in a dynamic retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online; greet customers and prepare pick-up orders.
• Manage pet healthcare: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, small animals, fish); administer vet-directed medications.
• Ensure store cleanliness, execute price changes, stage products, face/fill shelves to standards.
• Recommend/sell merchandise, services, live pets; promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
• Maintain safety for associates, pets, parents; respond to sick/injured pets and transport to vet if needed.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required—training provided. Ideal candidates have strong communication, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina (lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, handle animals in moderate noise/wet environments). Passion for pets is key.
