Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate), you'll deliver exceptional experiences for pet parents and their companions. Uphold our vision by engaging customers, maintaining store standards, and providing direct pet care. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is key in this dynamic retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction in-person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
- Care for store pets: feed, water, clean habitats (fish, birds, reptiles, small animals), and administer vet-directed meds.
- Stock shelves, face products, handle price changes, and promote events like adoptions.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and respond to sick/injured pets by transporting to vet.
- Recommend products, services, and live pets while supporting all store areas.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is a plus! Need strong communication, composure under pressure, and physical stamina (lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, handle animals in moderate noise/wet conditions). Vision for depth perception essential.
