Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate), you'll deliver outstanding pet parent experiences while caring for store pets and maintaining a clean, safe environment. This entry-level role offers flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays, perfect for animal lovers eager to make an impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction through greetings, question-answering, online order prep, and sales at register.
- Provide direct pet care: feed, water, clean habitats for birds, reptiles, small animals, fish, and crickets; administer vet-directed meds.
- Stock shelves, face products, handle price changes, and promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Maintain store standards for cleanliness and safety; respond urgently to sick/injured pets.
- Collaborate across departments, including services, following all policies.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators who stay composed under pressure, handle 50+ lb lifts, climb ladders, and thrive in pet-filled environments with moderate noise and occasional wet conditions. Flexibility and teamwork are essential.
