Role Overview
Our Part-Time Retail Sales Associates are the heart of the store, delivering exceptional pet parent experiences, maintaining cleanliness, and providing direct care for live pets. This entry-level role offers flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays in a dynamic pet retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction through greetings, question-answering, online order prep, and sales at register.
- Handle pet healthcare: feed, water, clean habitats for birds, reptiles, small animals, fish; administer vet-directed meds.
- Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Maintain safety standards, respond to sick/injured pets, and support all store areas including services.
- Uphold cleanliness and follow company policies in a fast-paced setting with live animals.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required – just a pet-loving attitude! Must have strong communication, flexibility for variable shifts, composure under pressure, and physical stamina to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in pet hair-filled environments. Specific vision for depth perception needed.
