Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Sonora, California, you'll engage pet parents and their pets, deliver exceptional service, maintain store standards, and provide direct pet care. This entry-level role offers flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays while making a daily impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction through in-person, phone, register, and online interactions.
- Care for store-owned pets: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), and administer vet-directed medications.
- Stock shelves, face products, handle price changes, and prepare online pickup orders.
- Promote merchandise, services, live pets, and events like adoption weekends and Treats enrollment.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and respond to pet health issues by transporting to vets as needed.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators who stay composed under pressure, handle physical demands (lifting 50+ lbs, climbing ladders, animal exposure), and thrive in a fast-paced, pet-filled environment with moderate noise and occasional wet conditions.
