Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate), you'll engage pet parents, care for store pets, and maintain a clean, safe environment. This entry-level role offers flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays while making a daily impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online.
- Feed, water, clean habitats, and medicate store-owned pets (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals).
- Stock shelves, face products, handle price changes, and promote events like adoptions.
- Ensure store safety, cleanliness, and immediate action for sick/injured pets.
- Recommend products, services, and live pets to drive sales.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required. We seek pet lovers with strong communication, flexibility, and composure under pressure. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, climbing, and handling animals in a moderate-noise, pet-hair-filled environment.
