Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate), you'll engage pet parents, care for store pets, and maintain a clean, safe environment. This entry-level role supports sales, services, and pet health while upholding our vision of exceptional experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online.
- Care for store-owned pets: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), administer vet-directed meds.
- Stock shelves, face products, handle price changes, and prepare online pickups.
- Promote events like adoptions, Treats enrollment, and charity drives.
- Ensure safety: identify sick pets, transport to vet, maintain cleanliness standards.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required – pet passion is key! Need strong communication, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), composure under pressure. Physical demands: lift 50lbs (team lift 100lbs+), stand/walk, handle animals in moderate noise/wet environments. Reasonable accommodations available.
