Role Overview

As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate), you'll engage pet parents and their pets while upholding PetSmart's vision. Share responsibility for store cleanliness, pet safety, and direct pet care. This entry-level role offers flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays, perfect for animal lovers seeking rewarding retail work.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online.
• Care for store-owned pets: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, small animals, fish), and administer vet-directed medications.
• Maintain store standards: face/fill products, execute price changes, stage new merchandise.
• Recommend and sell merchandise, services, and live pets; promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
• Ensure safety for associates, pets, and customers; respond to sick/injured pets and transport to vet if needed.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required—pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators who thrive under pressure, handle physical demands (lifting 50+ lbs, standing, climbing), and embrace a dynamic environment with live animals and moderate noise. Flexibility and composure are essential.
