Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, you'll deliver outstanding pet parent experiences, care for live animals, and keep our store sparkling. Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction through greetings, question-answering, online order prep, and seamless checkouts.
- Provide hands-on care for store pets: feed, water, clean habitats (fish, birds, reptiles, small animals), and administer vet-directed meds.
- Execute merchandising tasks like stocking, facing products, price changes, and sales floor recovery.
- Promote products, services, live pets, and events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Maintain safety standards, respond to pet health issues, and assist across store areas including services.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators who thrive in flexible schedules (evenings, weekends, holidays), handle pressure calmly, and meet physical demands: lifting 50+ lbs, standing/walking extensively, climbing ladders, and working around animals in moderate-noise, pet-hair-filled settings.
