Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Statesville, North Carolina, you'll engage with pet parents and their pets, deliver exceptional service, and maintain store standards. This entry-level role shares responsibility for store cleanliness, pet safety, and direct pet care, offering flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction through in-person, phone, register, and online interactions, including online order pickups.
- Provide hands-on care for store-owned pets: feeding, watering, cleaning habitats (birds, reptiles, small animals, fish), and administering vet-directed medications.
- Execute merchandising tasks: facing/filling products, staging new items, weekly price changes, and promotional setups.
- Recommend products, services, live pets, and promote events like adoption weekends and Treats enrollment.
- Maintain safety for associates, pets, and customers; respond to sick/injured pets and ensure a clean, hazard-free store.
