Role Overview

As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) at our Sudbury store, you'll engage pet parents, care for live animals, and maintain a welcoming store environment. This entry-level role offers hands-on pet interaction, customer service, and merchandising in a dynamic retail setting. Ideal for animal lovers seeking flexible work with growth potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
• Provide direct care for store pets: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), and administer vet-directed medications.
• Drive sales by recommending products, services, and live pets; promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
• Execute merchandising: face/fill products, stage new items, handle price changes, and maintain cleanliness/safety standards.
• Respond to pet health issues, ensure safe environments, and assist across store areas including services.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required—pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators with schedule flexibility (evenings, weekends, holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and handle animals in a moderate-noise, pet-hair-filled environment. Specific vision for depth perception needed.
