Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate), you'll engage pet parents, care for store pets, and maintain a welcoming store environment. This entry-level role offers flexibility and the chance to work with animals daily while delivering exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online.
- Care for store-owned pets: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), and administer vet-directed medications.
- Maintain store cleanliness, face/fill products, stage new merchandise, and support pricing updates.
- Recommend products, services, live pets, and promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Ensure safety for associates, pets, and customers; respond immediately to sick/injured pets.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required. We seek passionate individuals with strong communication, flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays, composure under pressure, and physical stamina to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and handle live animals in a dynamic retail setting with moderate noise and pet hair.
