Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate in Syracuse, NY, you'll engage pet parents, care for store pets, and maintain a welcoming store. This entry-level role offers flexibility, weekly pay, and paths to advancement while making a daily impact on pets' lives.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online.
- Provide direct care for store pets: feeding, cleaning habitats, medications as directed.
- Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and promote events/adoptions.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety standards, and respond to pet health issues promptly.
- Recommend products, services, and live pets to drive sales and satisfaction.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! Must have strong communication, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and handle animals in a dynamic retail setting with moderate noise and pet hair.
