Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Temple, Texas, you'll engage pet parents and care for store pets, ensuring positive experiences while upholding cleanliness, safety, and sales standards. This entry-level role offers flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
- Provide direct care for store pets: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), administer vet-directed meds.
- Maintain store presentation: face/fill products, stage merchandise, execute price changes/promotions.
- Recommend/sell products, services, live pets; promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Ensure safety: monitor pets, transport sick/injured to vet, maintain clean/safe environment.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! Need strong communication, flexibility, composure under pressure. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing/walking, ladder use, animal handling in moderate-noise, pet-hair environment. Reasonable accommodations available.
