Role Overview

As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in our Toronto, Ontario store, you'll engage pet parents and their pets while upholding our vision, mission, values, and strategy. Share responsibility for store cleanliness, pet safety, and direct pet care to deliver exceptional experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive pet parent satisfaction in person, phone, register, and online; greet customers and prepare pick-up orders.
• Provide pet healthcare for store-owned pets: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, small animals, fish), and administer vet-directed medications.
• Maintain store standards: cleanliness, price changes, product staging, facing, filling, and recovery.
• Recommend and sell merchandise, services, live pets; promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
• Ensure safety for associates, pets, and customers; handle sick/injured pets and transport to vet as needed.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required—pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators with schedule flexibility (evenings, weekends, holidays), composure under pressure, and physical capability to stand, lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and handle animals in a dynamic retail environment with moderate noise and pet hair.
