Role Overview

As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in our Toronto, Ontario store, you'll engage pet parents and their pets, deliver exceptional service, and maintain store standards. This entry-level role shares pet care duties, ensures cleanliness, and supports sales across in-store, phone, online pickup, and services. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is key in this dynamic pet retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive pet parent satisfaction through greetings, question-answering, and seamless online order pickups.
• Provide hands-on care for store pets: feeding, watering, cleaning habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), and vet-directed medications.
• Execute merchandising tasks like stocking, facing products, price changes, and sales floor recovery.
• Recommend products, services, live pets, and promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
• Maintain safety for associates, pets, and customers; respond to sick/injured pets and ensure clean, hazard-free store.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required—pet passion is a plus! We seek strong communicators who thrive under pressure, handle physical demands (lifting 50+ lbs, standing, climbing), and embrace animal exposure in a moderate-to-noisy environment. Qualifications include schedule flexibility and composure in fast-paced settings.
