Role Overview

As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in our Toronto, Ontario store, you'll engage pet parents and their pets, deliver exceptional service, and maintain store standards. This entry-level role shares pet care duties, cleanliness, and sales responsibilities in a dynamic pet retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
• Care for store-owned pets: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), administer vet-directed meds, and respond to sick/injured pets.
• Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and maintain sales floor standards.
• Recommend and sell merchandise, services, and live pets; promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
• Ensure safety for associates, pets, and customers while upholding company policies.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required—pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators with schedule flexibility (evenings, weekends, holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and handle animals in a moderate-noise, pet-hair-filled environment. Vision for depth perception needed.
