Role Overview
Our Part-Time Retail Sales Associates (Pet Associates) deliver exceptional pet parent experiences in Torrance, CA. You'll engage customers, care for live pets, maintain store standards, and drive sales in a fast-paced retail environment focused on pet happiness and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding service in-person, phone, register, and online; greet customers and prepare pick-up orders.
- Handle pet healthcare: feed, water, clean habitats for birds, reptiles, fish, small animals; administer vet-directed meds.
- Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and promote merchandise, services, events like adoptions.
- Maintain cleanliness, ensure safety for associates, pets, and customers; respond to sick/injured pets immediately.
- Flex between departments including services; follow all policies and embrace our Belonging culture.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required – pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators with schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina to lift 50lbs+, climb ladders, and work in pet-filled environments. Specific vision for depth perception needed.
