Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate), you'll engage pet parents, care for store pets, and maintain a clean, safe environment. This entry-level role offers flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays, perfect for animal lovers seeking impactful work.
Essential Physical Demands
Stand, walk, climb ladders, lift up to 50 lbs (team lift 100+ lbs), handle pets in a moderate-noise environment with pet hair and occasional wet conditions. Reasonable accommodations available.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
- Feed, water, clean habitats for birds, reptiles, small animals, fish, and crickets; administer vet-directed medications.
- Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Ensure store cleanliness, pet safety, and immediate action for sick/injured pets including vet transport.
- Recommend products, services, and live pets while supporting all store areas.
Experience & Skills
