Role Overview
PetSmart's Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) delivers exceptional pet parent experiences, maintains store standards, and provides direct pet care. Based in Tucson, Arizona, this entry-level role offers flexible hours in a dynamic pet retail setting focused on safety, sales, and service.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction through greetings, question-answering, online order prep, and smooth checkouts.
- Handle pet healthcare: feed, water, clean habitats for birds, reptiles, fish, small animals; administer vet-directed meds.
- Ensure store cleanliness, recover merchandise, stage products, and support pricing/promotions.
- Sell products, services, live pets; promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Maintain safe environments, respond to sick pets, and assist across store areas as needed.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! Need strong communication, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina (lift 50 lbs, climb, stoop, handle animals in moderate noise/wet conditions). Depth perception and teamwork essential.
