Role Overview
PetSmart's Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) engages pet parents and cares for store pets in Vancouver, Washington. Uphold our vision of exceptional experiences, store cleanliness, pet safety, and sales while working flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Essential Physical Demands
Stand, walk, climb ladders, lift up to 50 lbs (team lift 100+ lbs), handle animals in moderate noise/wet environments with pet hair exposure. Depth perception required; accommodations available.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
- Feed, water, clean habitats for birds, reptiles, small animals, fish, and crickets; administer vet-directed meds.
- Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and maintain sales floor standards.
- Recommend products, services, live pets; promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Ensure safety for associates, pets, parents; respond to sick/injured pets and transport to vet if needed.
