Role Overview

As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Vernon Hills, IL, you'll deliver outstanding customer service, care for live pets, and maintain a clean, safe store. This entry-level role offers flexible hours, perfect for evenings, weekends, and holidays, with hands-on pet interaction and sales opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
• Care for store pets: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), and administer vet-directed medications.
• Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and promote merchandise, services, and events like adoptions.
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety standards; handle sick/injured pets promptly.
• Support all store areas, including services, as needed.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required—pet passion is key! Must have strong communication, flexibility for variable shifts, composure under pressure, and physical stamina to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in a pet-filled environment with moderate noise and occasional wet conditions.
