Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Vienna, West Virginia, you'll engage pet parents and their pets, deliver exceptional service, maintain store standards, and provide direct pet care. This entry-level role offers flexibility and impact in a fun, pet-filled environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction in-person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
- Care for store pets: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), administer vet-directed meds, and handle sick pets.
- Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and promote events like adoptions.
- Recommend merchandise, services, and live pets while ensuring safety and cleanliness.
- Support all store areas as needed, following policies and fostering belonging.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! Need strong communication, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina (lift 50lbs, climb ladders, handle animals in moderate noise/wet conditions). Depth perception and team lifting for heavier items.
