Our Part-Time Retail Sales Associates in Virginia Beach, VA, deliver exceptional pet parent experiences, maintain store standards, and provide direct care for live pets. Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction through greetings, question-answering, online order prep, and seamless checkouts.
- Manage pet healthcare: feed, water, clean habitats for birds, reptiles, small animals, fish, and crickets; administer vet-directed meds.
- Keep store spotless, handle merchandising, price changes, product stocking, and recovery to sales floor standards.
- Sell merchandise, services, and pets; promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Ensure safety for associates, pets, and customers; respond to sick/injured pets with vet transport if needed.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators who stay composed under pressure, lift 50+ lbs (team lift 100+), climb ladders, and handle live animals in a dynamic environment with moderate noise and pet hair.
