Role Overview

As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate), you'll be the friendly face welcoming pet parents and their furry friends. This entry-level role combines customer service, pet care, and store operations to deliver outstanding experiences while upholding PetSmart's vision of pet happiness and safety.

Key Responsibilities

Drive pet parent satisfaction through personalized service in-person, online, and at pickup. Maintain pet health by feeding, cleaning habitats for birds, reptiles, fish, and small animals, and administering vet-directed medications. Keep the store spotless, stock shelves, handle merchandising, and promote events like adoptions. Respond swiftly to pet emergencies, ensure safety, and flex across departments including services.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required—pet passion is key! Bring strong communication, schedule flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays, and composure in fast-paced settings. Physically, expect standing, lifting up to 50 lbs (team lifts over 100 lbs), ladder use, and exposure to pets, noise, and wet areas. Depth perception and animal handling comfort essential.
