Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate), you'll engage pet parents, care for store pets, and maintain a clean, safe environment. This entry-level role offers flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays while making a daily impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online.
- Provide direct care for birds, reptiles, small animals, fish, and habitats including feeding, cleaning, and medications.
- Stock shelves, face products, handle price changes, and promote events like adoptions.
- Ensure store safety, cleanliness, and immediate response to sick/injured pets.
- Sell merchandise, services, and live pets while recommending solutions.
Experience & Skills
No experience required. We seek pet lovers with strong communication, flexibility, composure under pressure, and physical stamina to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in pet-filled environments. Vision for depth perception and tolerance for moderate noise essential.
