Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate), you'll engage pet parents, care for store pets, and maintain a clean, safe environment. This entry-level role offers flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays, perfect for animal lovers eager to make an impact.
Essential Physical Demands
Stand, walk, climb ladders, lift up to 50 lbs (team lift 100+ lbs), handle pets in a dynamic store with moderate noise and pet hair exposure. Reasonable accommodations available.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
- Feed, water, clean habitats, and medicate store pets (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals) as vet-directed.
- Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and promote events like adoptions.
- Ensure store safety, respond to sick pets, and assist across departments.
- Uphold cleanliness and company policies.
Experience & Skills
