Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate), you'll engage pet parents, care for store pets, and maintain a welcoming store environment. This entry-level role offers flexibility and the chance to make a daily impact in pet retail.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online.
- Provide direct care for store pets: feeding, watering, cleaning habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals).
- Stock shelves, face products, handle price changes, and prepare online orders.
- Recommend merchandise, services, and live pets; promote events like adoptions.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety standards, and respond to pet health issues.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required. We seek strong communicators with schedule flexibility (evenings, weekends, holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and handle animals in a dynamic environment with moderate noise and pet hair.
