Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate), you'll engage pet parents, care for store pets, and maintain a clean, safe store environment. This entry-level role offers flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays while making a daily impact on pets' lives.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online pickups.
- Provide direct care for store-owned pets: feeding, watering, cleaning habitats, and vet-directed medications.
- Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and promote events like adoptions.
- Maintain store cleanliness and safety standards, responding to pet health issues immediately.
- Recommend merchandise, services, and live pets to drive sales.
Physical Demands
Stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs (team lift 100+ lbs), climb ladders, and handle live animals in a moderate-noise, pet-hair-filled environment.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required. We seek strong communicators who thrive under pressure, love pets, and offer scheduling flexibility. Passion for animals and customer service is key.
