Role Overview

As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Webster, Texas, you'll deliver exceptional experiences for pet parents and their pets. This entry-level role involves customer engagement, pet care, store maintenance, and sales, in a dynamic retail setting with live animals and high-energy interactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding pet parent service in-person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
• Care for store-owned pets: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), administer vet-directed meds, and respond to sick pets.
• Maintain store cleanliness, execute price changes, stock and face merchandise per sales floor standards.
• Recommend products, services, and live pets; promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
• Ensure safety for associates, pets, and customers; assist across departments as needed.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required—pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators with schedule flexibility (evenings, weekends, holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and handle animals in a moderate-noise, pet-hair-filled environment. Depth perception and team-lifting for heavier items required.
